Login - Password

I have created a web site (still in progress) that I would like to ask for
users Login and Password before they can enter. Does anyone know an easy way
for a non programmer to validate 2 fields against some kind of database
before continuing thru the site?

It all depends on what OS your web site is hosted on or going to be hosted on.
