Logging on as Administrator

I'm trying to load applications on an XP Pro PC and I'm logged on with the
only account that has admin rights, but the software says I don't. Is there
an administrator account other than the user? And how would I log into that
account when I only have one user to choose?

Thanks,

John

In Home edition boot into Safe mode, when the built-in Administrator account
will become visible. In Pro, at the welcome screen press Ctl-Alt-Del twice.
The old style W2K log-on box will appear. Type in the user Name
"Administrator" (without quotes). Leave the password blank unless you know
otherwise.

By default a hidden Administrator account is created when XP is installed.
If your version is XP Home you need to restart the computer into Safe Mode
to access this account. Press the F8 key repeatedly at startup to get to the
bootmenu and select Safe Mode. You should see an account called
Administrator and you can likely leave the password blank to access it. If
your version is XP Pro then go to Start->Logoff. Once Logged off press
Ctrl+Alt+Del twice in a row and type "administrator" into the logon name and
the password that was used during the initial installation to logon.
