Hi
Somebody has been playing with my laptop and when I try to log on I get the
following message.
"Unable to log you on because your account has been locked out, please
contact your administrator".
I know the correct User name and password, however, I cannot access.
Any tips?

Do you have an Administrator to contact? What happens when you wait 15
minutes (the default reset time) and try again?

Hi
After 15 min wait I still have the same message.
I don't recall Administrator details?

Since we don't know what "playing with" entails:

Reboot and at the Welcome Screen, do Ctrl-Alt-Del twice to get the classic
Windows logon box if it's not already there. Type in "Administrator" and
whatever password you assigned when you set up Windows.

If you reset the built-in Administrator account's password and don't
remember the password, use NTpasswd to change the built-in Administrator
account's password to a blank.

Then go to the User Accounts applet in Control Panel and set passwords that
you will remember and make other desired changes.
