Recently when i turn on my computer, i do get access to the user account list
where you pick your log in and then windows xp loads up your personal
settings based on the user. Instead there is log in security box with the
primary users name and a bar for password, if you press "enter" without a
password, the primary users personal settings loads up and the computer
functions properly. However, only the primary user has access to their
settings, the other users on the computer can not reach their own accounts.
When I went to check the settings under control panel, under user accounts,
it informed me under log in settings that a program was recently downloaded
that disabled the log in screen and that if wanted it to function again then
i had to uninstal the new program. It gave me a file name that could possibly
be the reason for the malfunction called GTGina.dll that is saved under my C
drive C:\WINDOWS\system 32. I tried deleting it but obviously because its a
default windows file it would not allow me to do so and further the date of
modification on the file was 10/3/2005, therefore it was not something
recently done. Further, no programs were installed before this matter and
virus scan did not detect any viruses.
I would appreciate some help on this problem and how to resolve it.
Thank you,
Sara
