log in problem in Windows XP

Gary

I downloaded new McAfee 8.0 antivirus, scanned the system,
deleted or quaranteened files and later when I rebooted
the computer, it won't let me past the log-in screen. I
tried the administrator log-in, but it wouldn't allow
access with a no-password log-in. Any advice on how to
get in?

Sir

Please try the Safe Mode, in that way only the Administrator can login in the Computer

The virus infection detected and presumably cured is a little troublesome.
We don't know the extent of the infection or how effective the clean up
was. If any of the files that were infected and quarantined were core OS
files these migh need to be replaced. If that's not the cause it might be
a corrupt password, but that is less likely. First I'll list some password
resources, then some resources you can review regarding repairing Windows
XP if files boot are damaged:

Regarding Repairing XP:
- Attempt to boot in Safe Mode.
- If that works use System File Checker (SFC) to replacemissing/damaged
files:
