Locking different outlook 2003 functionalities

Hello:

We will distribute Outlook 2003 in a corporative environment, we have to
prepare a custom software pack (MST file) for all users using the Office
custom installation wizard.

We´ll be deploying exchange server 2003 as well, and we'll also configure
the server name and user profile with the custom installation wizard.

I've seen that certain outlook functionalities and default settings can also
be configured with this wizard.

I wanted to know how is possible to lock user access for configuring
additional pop3 or other protocol accounts, so that just our exchange account
is permanently configured on corporative computers.

If you really want to lock things down, you probably will want to use Group
Policy Objects in AD, not user preference settings in the CIW. Once you add
the Outlk11.adm administrative template, look under Administrative Templates
| Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 | Miscellaneous. You'll see two useful
policy settings:

-- Prevent users from adding e-mail account types
-- Prevent users from making changes to Outlook profiles
