locked screen????????

A message is on the screen - the computer is in use and has been locked.
It wil not take my name or password - it seems as if the keyboard maybe
locked.
How do I unlock?????

You say it will not take your username/password... Then you say that the
keyboard may be locked.

Which is it?

When you press CTRL+ALT+DEL to enter your username and password - does it
come up and let you type in your username or password?

When you type your username and/or password - do the characters (or some
representation of them) appear on the screen?

Are you an "administrator" on said computer?

Does it say it is "locked" by your user - or another?
