Locked out of subweb as sson as permissions are changed..

Hi,

Using FP2003 on XP.

Strange problem. I am creating a subweb under my website. I open my subweb
fine in FP, go to Tools->Server->Adminstration Home. Then, Users and
Roles->Change subweb permissions. Then, Use unique permissions for this Web
site, Submit, and Bang.. I'm locked out of my subweb. Everytime I try to go
to it, it asks me for username password, and nothing at all is accepted,
including my main (admin) un/pw. I basically want to password protect my
subweb, and whereever I've looked, this is the first step after subweb
creation.

Until I can Administer my subweb, I can't create any username password. But
I need a un/pw to get into administration!

Any help would be very welcome..

Yes actually I did. They removed and re-installed the FP extensions but same
problem. They have FP2002 extensions. Could that be the reason? Should they
install FP2003 extensions?

There are no FP2003 extensions. The web host need to learn how to configure the extensions to allow
for unique permissions.
