Locked Folder

Hi all.... I've got a problem with the installation of a new 250 Gig. hard
drive. I formatted the new drive, and put it in the master position, using
the cable select setting, for the jumpers. All went well with the format,
and both drives showed properly, so I went to the previous 80 Gig. drive,
which sits in the slave position, and began copying and pasting the files
I want to keep. All went well, until I came to the 'My Documents'
directory, and folders on my desk top. They hold my music collection, and
images I have downloaded from the net. SOME of the music files and NONE of
the image files want to make the transfer from the old drive to the new.
Does anyone have any idea why this is so? I have a feeling that this has
something to do with file permissions or security settings. I'm using win XP
Pro with classic settings for file permissions. Some of the Music was ripped
from cd using I Tunes, and some was ripped using the Yahoo Music tool.
Others were downloaded from the net. The operating system still exists on
the old drive but it only shows up as folders as the new drive is set up as
master. When I try to acess these folders When using the new drive as
master, I get a permission denied dialogue. However, If I boot to the old
drive they are available, with no restrictions. Any help unlocking this
folder would be appreciated as I'm stuck.

Thanks for any help offered
