Local users unable to access some subfolders of Shared Documents

Hi there,
the contents of some folders under Shared Documents are
unavailable to normal users. I can see them as an admin user but the users
cannot access the files they contain. I cant see anything different to the
file properties of the files that they can access. Any ideas?

I copied and pasted the folders, deleted the originals and renamed the
copies and now they are available to all users.
