Loading multiple files

I was once able to click on multiple files for example Excel files in Windows
Explorer and they would open one right after the other. This worked under
Windows 95 as well.
Now when I do that it opens the first one I clicked on. Any reason why this
might be happening.

Change your mouse click to doubleclick instead of single click.
Open Explorer>Tools>Folder Options
