Live OneCare goes live - how?

According to this SeattlePi.com article, MS Live OneCare goes on sale
(from yesterday) offering a one-stop shop
service to all PCs.

Question - given that WDefender is still in Beta, how do they think
they are going to do this?
(As for the other services 'firewall, anti-spyware, PC tuneups, file
backups and free support', I don't even want to know...)

WIndows Live OneCare is Firewall and Anti-Virus plus a shell for other PC tuneup
and security. Defender monitoring is included in the package, but it can be
turned off.

Windows Defender communicates with OneCare, but remains a separate program.
