Listing Last Name First in "Select Names"

How do I set Outlook 2002 so that the names in
the "Select Names" box will be listed last name first
when I'm trying to find names to address my emails? My
Contacts list is ordered that way but names come up first
name first when I'm searching "Select Names" to address
emails.

By default names are sorted by "first name, last name". If you want to
change this to "last name, first name" do the following;

Go to Control Panel-> Mail-> E-mail Accounts-> View or change existing
directories or address books-> select Outlook Address Book-> Change.

At the bottom you can set the way the names are sorted.

Tools, email accounts, view or change existing address books - in the
properties of your Outloook Address Book, choose "file as" not First, Last.
I have *no* idea why it isn't set to that by default - irritating!

Well it wouldn't be if at least it would be consistent as the default for
the Contacts folder is last, first
Oh well, at least it's clear that both options are completely separate :-D
