Links to Websites no working

When I click on a link within an email to a website it does nothing. I use
McAfee Virus Scan, Personal Firewall, Privacy Service and Spamkiller. The
links worked for awhile but stopped recently. Not sure when exactly they
stopped working. Recently I logged on to RoadRunners on-line technical chat
service and had to download or activate ActiveX Controls. Tried to uninstall
ActiveX but couldn't find it. Then tried system restore to a date prior but
when PC re-started got a message from McAfee that it didn't start up and
files were missing or corrupted and requested re-installing McAfee. So I
went back and restored system to current system.

What do I have to do to get the url links in emails to work?

Thanks ...

Better to post your issue at the McAfee Help Forums:
http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/index.php
More issues like yours are mentioned there. You could start with
disabling (or uninstalling) Privacy Center and see if that makes any
difference.

Jurren ... tried it and it didn't work, in fact disabled the firewall and
that didn't help ... think it is more a internet explorer problem ... thanks
