Links are not changing color

I think I have it for you!

Click on Tools
Choose Internet Options
On the General tab, click the Colors... button
Under Links, you will see Visited and Unvisited
you can click on the colored box to change the color
you can also turn on or off the hover color feature
and choose a hover color

That I can do ok. What I mean is when I use a link such as
the menu to the upper left the links that I have used are
a different color from the ones that I have not used yet.
Or they used to be, now they are all the same before and
after use. >
