Linking word docs in excel

Can someone explain to me how i can link a Microsoft word document
into an excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is being used to keep
client information in the office and I would like to link specific
memos to each client. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Can you elaborate a bit? I think you have customer data (like: address
data) in your XLS file, but what exactly is in the Word files? Memos?
Can one memo belong to more than one customer?
