linking MS Windows and MS Access passwords

I am working on a project that needs to enable user-level security on our
Access 2003 db. One of the architects on the project would like the MS
Access userid/password to be linked to the user's Windows network
userid/password. Is this possible? tia

There is no link between Windows security and Access security. So, the
simple answer, is no. Obviously, the userid's in Access could be made the
same as the ones in Windows, but that would not help with the password
issue. A user's password, in Access, is blank by default. Company policy
could require people to use the same password, but the users will still have
to log on to Access with their userid and password. It can't be pulled over
from Windows.
