Lines across my document!!!

I'm making a questionnaire and I made a bunch of lines by holding down SHFT +
the hyphen key. Then I pressed enter and it made a single line underneath the
question. No worries, but now I've decided I don't want the lines and I can't
get rid of them! I've tried dragging and double-clicking and deleting but
nothing seems to work. Should I be looking at changing the format or
something because I REALLY don't want to type the whole thing out again and I
shouldn't really have to.
Cheers

Typing the underscores and hitting enter added an automatic border.
Assuming you haven't added any borders you want to keep... you can get rid
of them all at once if you select the entire document (Ctrl+a), click the
list button on the borders button, and select the option for no borders.
The borders button is in the paragraph group of the home tab in 07 and on
the formatting toolbar in earlier versions (third from the end, usually).
If you don't want to get rid of all borders, do the same for smaller
selections...
