License Management

Hi I looked in Windows XP Help and Support regarding "License Management" for
my computer. It indicated to go to the "Tools" and Click "License
Management". I feel I am in the wrong area of my computer because "License
Management" was not there. I just want to make a list of the License's I
have on my computer. Any help I receive will be most helpful. Thank You

Hello sam024,

Not possible in this way. No option available for this kind of management.
You have to control your licenses by hand.

You really need to be more explicit. If you found the topic "License
Management" in Windows Help & Support, you must have Windows XP Media
Center Edition (at least, in non-MCE, there is no such entry in Help and
Support). I suspect you didn't read the first step in the "Help" topic:

1. Start Windows Media Player

Once Media Player is started, you may have to right-click the menu bar
area to see the menu bar with the Tools menu (and the other menus). The
"Licenses" this topic is directed to are for media files that use
Digital Rights Management. I don't know that you can "make a list" of
anything. License Management here is used to mean "make a backup of
your licenses."

On the other hand, if you are interested in licenses for software
applications you have installed, follow PD43's advice.
