lexmark Z515 can't run on my pc

I purchased a Lexmark Z515 printer the other day ,and got it home set it up
inserted the disk and an error message keeps comming up 16 bit windows
subsytem this system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft
windows applications .I went to the lexmark website and they sent me to the
microsoft site which told me to type in 3 commands and that didn't work.I am
about to throw this windows crap in the dumpster and get a mac it has been
one complication after another ever since I bought this thing it takes a
computer geniuos just to keep it running Does anybody know if I can get my
printer to work ? Thanks

Navigate to the Lexmark site and get the Windows XP drivers for the
printer. Install these according to the instructions. Do _not_ connect
the printer to the computer until directed to do so by the written
instructions or the on-screen prompts that appear as the drivers
install.

I have no idea if you can get the printer to work but do give it a go.
