Hi,
Lexmark printer drivers are know to have problems with
windows xp. You could try
www.driverguide.com or the
Lexmark website to see if they have any updated drivers.
You CAN install the printer by right-clicking my-
computer, then clicking properties, and then the Hardware
tab, and then Device Manager. This screen shows you all
the hardware in the pc. Go to the Printer and then double
click on it. Click the driver tab and then click:
Uninstall. After this is finished you should reboot your
pc, and then you should see a screen asking you to
install the hardware. Chose for Install From a List Or
Specific Location ( Advanced ). Then, in the "Include
this location in the search:" box type the location of
the INF files located on the cd. For example: X:\Winxp\,
Where X is the drive name of the cdrom-drive containing
the LexMark CD. ( you should check those folder names, i
dont have a lexmark myself so i dont know, but by default
LexMark uses folders on the cd with the OS name )
