Left Side Panel Vanished

I have no idea how it happened, but the left-most side panel has vanished.
(it shows folders and folder status for "Inbox", "Outbox", "Sent Items" ...
etc). I can't find any options anywhere, among those available, that will
tell me how to get that panel back. But I will bet that someone "out there"
can tell me how to get it back. Right? I hope so. (I am really getting fed
up with this Vista jungle - it makes people go nuts ...)

Wow - Something that works! Is there a "don't let it happen again" check box
somewhere?

You know what, i feel you. This Vista junk was surppose to make life easy but
instead it brought confusion. I also hope someone out there has got a
solution to this.

Now to actually help the OP. Go to the menu "View" and choose "layout".
Check the box for "folder list" and you will have your left side panel back.
