ldap configuration with IBM iSeries working with outlook 2003

P

Paul Fistler

Need some help setting up ldap in outlook 2003 with an IBM iSeries ldap
server.
I have ldap working in outlook express, but I have not found a way to get
outlook 2003 configured correctly.

Thanks
Paul

Paul,

Are you having problems getting the LDAP account to work (errors?) in
Outlook 2003 or are you having problems setting it up (configuration)?

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Please provide us with exact error symptom for further analysis. However, I
recommend you read these Knowledge Base articles:

820864 You Experience Performance Problems in Outlook 2003 When You Browse
an -- http://support.microsoft.com/?id=820864
836205 You receive a "can't contact LDAP Directory server (81)" error
message -- http://support.microsoft.com/?id=836205
824117 Outlook 2003 Stops Responding When an E-mail Address Is Verified --
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=824117

Here is the basic method to add directory service in OL2003:

Tools -> E-mail accounts -> Add a new directory or address book, and
provide the same info as OE

If you receive any error messages, please capture a screenshot of it.

Hope this information helps.

Have a nice day!

Terry Liu
