LCD monitor conspiracy continued

Just talked to the Viewsonic tech. He says, that the new
nVidia drivers "might" be able to detect the 1280x800
on monitors that are capable of MULTIPLE NATIVE
RESOLUTIONS. In other words, in the future, you
should check on that when buying an LCD monitor.
Also, I downloaded the pdf file on the 90.xx series
drivers, and sure enough, in that paper it says just
that. So, on my Viewsonic 2025WM, which does
support multiple native resolutions .. but which may
not communicate that to the nVidia driver .. I should
have seen more than one ( 1680x1050 ) choice for
a 16:10 full screen resolution. I should have seen
options for 1280x800, 1440x900, 1680x1050, and
a couple more for the big guys. My Viewsonic 2025WM
is capable of 1280 up to 1680, and the older nVidia
drivers allowed it using Coolbits. As a matter of fact,
I am writing this using a 2025WM set to a custom
resolution of 1264x788, and the fonts are really nice.
The new nVidia drivers will not allow Coolbits to run.
