How to disable the ADODB.Stream object from Internet Explorer

Is the above update safe?
Any precautions I should take?
It does change the registry.

Yes the update is safe.
You should take the same precautions you should take with any other
installation.
Before the update:
Reboot
Disable all unnecessary applications including anti virus, spyware
blockers, internet enhancers etc.
Install the patch
Reboot.
