Hi all,

I'm thinking of upgrading from my Epson Photo 700 to either the Cannon
965 or Epson Photo (whatever the latest model number is).

Things I really need are edge to edge printing and long lasting prints.
I'd like to be able to print directly onto CDs too.

I've seen some A4 prints from the Canon 965, of photos from a 6MP digital camera
and they are stunning - 300ppi which you probably wouldn't get if you went to a
shop and got a 35mm 6x4 film print enlarged to 8x10.

So, Canon or Epson?

Thanks for any advice.

I think Canon and Epson are now very close. I still tilt to Epson for two
reasons: Roll paper, and availability of 3rd party ink , Continuous feed
systems, etc.

Canon may have the edge in speed, but that probably won't last.

If you are concerned about archival quality, then Epson (2200) is the only
one with resorting to 3rd party inks
