Larger MRU history

I would like to have a larger MRU history when I use the RUN command.

Is there a way to make it bigger ?

I've noticed that history is not as persistant as I wanted.

Does it get wiped by disk drive file cleanup?

Run MRU is limited to 26 entries, they are enumerated in the associated
Registry key by the 26 letters of the English alphabet. It is a fixed
amount. You can have the Run MRU list be a particular 26 items if you
want, by importing an edited Registry file with the entries you want to
keep there, following the model of the existing key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

There are probably 3rd-party launchers you could install that would
place themselves in the Start menu like the Run command, which have
larger limits.

The Run MRU is cleared when you clear the list of recently opened
documents in Start Menu Properties. It may also be cleared through
other operations... IIRC it used to clear when deleting the IE browser
history in Win95, but I never checked if that behavior occurred in XP.
