It's not bad for the money, but you can probably get a better laptop if you look around :)

If you're going to be using it for gaming I'd go for something more powerful than the 8400 though :thumb:

Sony are rotters and I wouldn't touch any of their product with a barge pole :)

This has been Uncle Flops adding a really helpful comment and not being at all vindictive towards a large corporation for putting viruses onto audio CD's.

No, not at all :)

I'm not good with laptops, tbh I know bugger-all about laptops :D

Only time I use one is to program amplifiers via software/USB

Sorry :)

Is it any good? Looks ok to me, but listen to Ian.

In my experience - and I have a brother in law who's kinda well off and buys laptops for his employees and clients, Toshiba rule.

I don't know anybody who's ever complained about a Toshiba, unlike Compaq, HP, Dell, Acer and all them others.

Oh - Sony? I don't know, honest. The VAIO's look good, gotta admit, but you know my views about Sony as a Corporation so you won't get an unbiased opinion from me ;)

Hmmm, i think i got you confused there Flopps, i thought it was you that was the laptop boy, it must be someone else on here that posts a lot. Oooops.

Yeah, i hear Toshiba are good actually, and i have to admit i've had problems with Sony. But then i think everyone has had trouble with someone at sometime, there will be thousands of people out there that would never touch toshiba i guess.

I've had a Sony laptop for almost 3 years, and despite there customer service being poo, it's a pretty good laptop. And they usually look pretty good!! ;-)
