LAN-Connection exists - but I can't use it

Hi,

if installed a WLAN-network. I've got 2 notebooks (with two identical
PCMCIA-Cards) and 1 computer connected via a router. The AP is also
connected to the router. The connection with one of the notebooks works (so
I have also tested that all hardware is OK). But the other notebook makes
some troubles: The connection exists (Windows and the driver-software
confirm that) and the notebook apears in the network environment of the
computer and the other notebook, but I have no possibility to use this
connection. I can't even ping to and from the notebook. I am sure that all
network settings like IP, subnet, etc. are OK as they are the same (except
the IP :)) at the other notebook. All firewalls, filters, encryption, other
network devices, DHCP are off/deactivated.

Hardware:
Access point: D-Link DWL-2100AP
PCMCIA-Cards: D-Link DWL-G650
Notebook with troubles: Acer TM 521TEV

Any ideas?

Ralf.

MAC address filtering in the AP/router?

Is now on but it also doesn't work when it's off. And both cards do work in
the other notebook.

Strange is: I can see the notebook in the network environment on the other
computers in the lan/wlan but I can't ping it and I can't connect the
internet.

Anyway thanks.
