Came back from Hols the other day. Today installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit to Samsung F3 1tb Sata HDD. Tried to install GTA4, but of course it needs internet authentication with Rockstar but didnt bother to install net on it as I didnt want thwe router settings to change or anything when I want to go back previous install on SSD.

Went through the manual route and visited Rocstar site on my phone, input the long code to request an unlock code, had the code, input it on the installation screen, said it was succesfull and then when I try to play the game, the authentcation thing comes up again again. Really peed me off.

Well I then went to install Kane and Lynch 2, but of course, Steam requires internet for Steam install and game installation so couldn't do that either. Same goes for quite a few other games as they all need stupid pathetic STEAM !.

Hey CSB, I undeleted this post, not sure if its the one that your missing or not. :)

So anyway, its the Crysis performance i'm interested in. Nothing else. ;)

How'd it go? Forget any extra ****, just install windows, NV drivers, MSI AB and the game. Then run it.

Are you getting 100% GPU usage?

So, you have a pretty colour PC that, can't play any games.

Hi V_R,

The post you recovered was from the one I thought I lost, was funny really as after losing what I typed, I stareted again and clicked submit. Then what do you know, the half finished post was on the forum, so I deleted it as it wasn't needed really after I made a new post which more or less said the same thing.

In regards to Crysis, I havn't been able to try it as my brother is still borrowing it and he lives 90 min drive away. Wish I hadn't let him borrow it now lol. Will try to visit and get it back this Friday. So can't try until then tbh.

Was at work today (as I work every sunday), so couldn't really try anything else anyway. I work in a call centre on an emails team (which can get you peed off sometimes as its just negative cr a p all the time and complaints as you can imagine. Well you get the odd compliment but is not that often. So during the day, I'm either talking to customers on the phone or emailing them if thats what they have requested, to discuss their complaint and do all I can to resolve it. As with any company, we have targets to try and meet, especially as its one of the biggest companys in the UK.

The team I work with all get along and we've been for nights out etc, been to casino, drinking, bowling, pretty standard stuff.

Anyway, time for bed. Will check back tomorrow.

Hi all, well got Crysis back yestaday. Instead of disconnecting SSD and one Samsung HDD and connectings Sarahs HDD which I installed windows on, I thought I'd try it one more time on the original setup.

Well something strange happened because I was able to play Crysis on max with FPS ranging between 35 - 49 Max. All settings up to Max. I thought what the hell is going on. So I tried an old game that was running poorly, Need For Speed Most Wanted, this time instead of stuttering, it played with an average of about 119 FPS according to FRAPS.

I then installed GTA4, started to run alot better with no stuttering but then crashed when I started to play. Tried again and it started to go back to the way it was.

The GPU usage on Crysis was way better this time, closed the game and restarted again to see if the GPU usage would go way back down like it did. look below.

Well not sure what you've changed but that looks way better. :)

I would have thought it would have been maxed 100% of the time, but thats still good.

Is performance noticeably better?
