Knickname file corrupted by redocking laptop

Mike Bailey

I have a laptop user running Outlook 2003 on XP Professional. We pop our
email from our ISP. He complains that after redocking his laptop it
seems to "arbitrarily eliminate seleced email address" from his knick
name file. I've read things in the past about corrupted knick name
files, and I've tried some of the suggestions - which is basically to
delete/rename it, and let Outlook recreate, but this has never helped.
My main question here is has anyone ever heard of docking/undocking
causing problems with corrupting the file?

Thanks,
Mike Bailey

That's not a solution that would ever work. Creating a new Outlook profile
from scratch is the only thing I would expect to work.
