Keyboard problems

I have encountered a number of PC's at a customer's network running XP that
require keying of an extra character after the 2nd quote on any input before
that 2nd quote is accepted. I have checked keyboard properties in Control
Panel, and can't see any reason. Can anyone help re this?

Could you explain the issue a bit more, as the post was a
bit vague, maybe and example would help illustrate it.

FOR EXAMPLE

If I want to type

RUN "JRMENU"

I must type

RUN"JRMENU" followed by a space of 2nd quotation (") does not appear
