Keyboard or Font Problem

I am using the Windows XP operating system. Recently I acquired a
keyboard\font problem on my laptop. When I type in certain keyboard
letter keys like u, l, j etc I am getting numerals like 5, 6, 4 in
their place. Has anyone a solution to fix this problem, thanks.

this is a laptop?
your num lock is turned on.
check your manual for the key strokes to turn it off.
normally a fn key and a key with a secondary label of num lock.
