Kelly---Status Bar won't stay on for Inernet Explorer V6. I've tried everything!!!

Kelly and anybody else interested:

The Status Bar won't stay on for Inernet Explorer V6.0.2800.1106. I
have searched here and tried all the fixes offered. Went to Kellys
website and installed the "Enable Show Status Bar." Now at least when
I bring up the first IE the status bar is on. But I might end up
using a half a dozen different IE's at a time. So now when I do a
Control/N to bring up the next IE I want to use, it is sans the status
bar every time. I am relatively sure that sometime in the near past I
never had any problem with the status bar being on all the time.

Can this be fixed so that when I do a Contol/N that the upcoming IE
will have the status bar showing always??? Thanks for help anybody.

Make sure all your IE windows are closed.

The best way I have found to fix this is for you to open Windows Explorer
(Windows Key+E) then go to the "View" menu and make sure the "Status Bar"
option is checked. Then go to "Tools" "Folder Options" and then go to the
"View" tab. On the "View" tab click "Apply to All Folders".

Now open IE and see if you have the Status Bar.
