Keep getting "Choose a Network Connection" when connected

I recently installed a wireless router between my 2 computers and they share
an internet connection. Both connect to the internet automatically when we
log on. One is running Windows XP 64 Edition (this has the router) and the
other has XP Home (has the wireless card). No problem, both access the
internet, however the one running XP Home keeps popping up a window asking me
to choose a Network Connection with a dropdown menu showing my different
connection options (dial up; broadband, etc.) almost every time I go to a
different web page. How do I get this popup to stop, I am already connected?

Thanks

In IE, try going to tools, internet options, connections - and choose the
option you want (LAN).

Are you connecting this PC to the other directly (ad hoc wireless
connection)? Your mention of a router confuses me somewhat.

In Internet Explorer, Tools - Internet Options - Connections tab - Select "Never
dial a connection".
