Just migrated to W2K AD

I need some help, I am not very experienced with AD or
DNS. We just migrated to W2K AD and are experiencing quite
a few issues. I was not involved with the migration, but
was assigned the task of resolving the problems we are
experiencing. We have a mixed mode domain with W2K and NT
4.0 WINS and DNS servers. What is the best method to
configure WINS replication and DNS configuration? Do we
need to keep the NT 4.0 DNS servers, or should I add all
the systems on the W2K DNS server and remove the NT 4.0
DNS servers? We have a mixture of W2K, XP, NT 4.0, W95/98
systems. Thanks

Any pre Win 2k clients need a WINS server. 2k and XP need a DNS server. AD
MUST have a DNS server that supports SRV records.

Install DNS on your Win 2k server, point this server to itself for DNS.
Point all AD clients to your AD DNS server only and configure your AD DNS
server to forward requests and list your ISP's DNS server as the forwarder.
