I probably fail to understand what you had said.
You receive " pop-up " ONLY if you have NEW e-mails sent to Junk Mail
folder.
Are you saying that you did have NEW junk mail delivered and no " pop-up "
notification ?

get
it back?

Their is no warning about 'new junk mail' the only warning that is generated
is by the phishing filter, it sends them to junk and blocks them.

Tools>junk e-mail options>phishing tab

That's not something Windows Mail does by itself.
Does your antivirus program have an anti-spam module?

No my McAfee Anti Virus does not do that it did it before I installed
antivirus,I noticed it when I got the new computer with vista installed on
it,So as I use to open up my mail if I had any junk mail a small window would
pop up ssaying I had junk mail, now it doesn't any more

I've been running Windows Mail daily since about June of 2006, and
have never seen it pop up a notice about Junk mail.

I had been misleading, my apology.
I have activated the " Block Sender " option. When I had e-mails from the
block list, Junk mail notification did pop up. I would go to the Junk mail
folder, and delete what was inside. Also, once a while, I did receive
notification if WM considered an e-mail questionable, ie. " phishing ".

Thank You , will give it a try,no apology needed as long as you didn't think
I was crazy.
thanks again

I am afraid I did not make myself understood.
I was saying that there were times I had someone on " Block Sender List ".
When that person sent me an e-mail, it got sent to Junk folder. When I
looked for new e-mails, a notification pop-up would show up telling me there
was something there. I would then go there and delete the e-mail.
I also said that there were times Windows Mail received something considered
" phishing " and had it sent to the Junk folder. When that happened, I would
also get a pop-up notification.
Hope it is clear this time.

Jim, this is my last, I hope, contribution to this thread.

You never had any notification of a downloaded junk mail.

If you did, and you do not see it now?

It will appear in this Registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Don't Show Dialogs

Start>run>type regedit>ok>navigate to the above key.

t-4-2 you are trying to help, but sadly on occasion, you are giving
misleading info, please wait before posting if you are uncertain of the
EXACT solution.

Obviously, some time ago, the OP has clicked on "Please do not show this
dialog again".
I don't remember it, but I must have gotten that notice two years ago when I
first ran WLM, and promptly opted out of ever wanting to see that notice again.
With the volume of junk mail most people get nowadays, I can't imagine
anyone wanting to be notified of every piece of junk mail that comes in.

Jim, an update and an admission that the pop up really does exist in WM, I
installed a new copy of Vista to a Virtual Machine for this purpose, I
needed to prove it for myself, and I found it.

I dug deeper in to the registry and found the key to enable it.

It can be re-enabled by editing the Registry.

Start>Run>type regedit>OK

Navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Mail

In the right side pane scroll to Dont Show Junk Dialogue, select it>right
click>Modify>give it a value of 0 (zero) instead of 1.

Close Registry Editor.
