Jump menus select elements too fast

I am trying to insert a jump menu into a page using FrontPage 2003 -- I am able to save and view the jump menu, but when I click on the drop-down menu, it automatically jumps to the top page and I do not have a chance to select another item in the drop-down list. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem?

Scott,

Try adding a header type choice e.g. Choose Here.
Set it to be selected but with no value. Then it will
display instead of your first choice.

Hi Scott,

Take a look at J-Bots Drop Down Jump Component much easier to use and understand.

In the Behavior Dialog unselect the option at the bottom
Select first item after URL change

| Thanks. I actually tried added a header type and I still have the same problem. The drop-down menu does not give me a chance to
select any of the selections -- it just jumps right to the first item in the list (below the header in this case). Any other
suggestions? Could I try a different "behavior" in the FP 2003 Behavior task pane? Thank you.
