.JPG files saving as .BMP yet again!

I cured this .jpg-saving-as-.bmp problem the first time by following the
advice on this forum and deleting my Temporary Internet Files. Well, the
problem returned after a few weeks. So, I deleted the Temp files again, but,
when I try to "Save Picture As" with content on web pages, my only option is
..BMP.

What is going on, and what can I do about this?

Thanks.

You are obviously filling up your temp folder quickly.

Sure, but now the folder is EMPTY, as stated above, yet the problem
persists...
Looking for the "next level" approach to the problem, I guess.

Have you rebooted?

Hey! What a concept! Apparently my earlier reboot PRECEDED the file
deletion, because, upon rebooting yet again, .jpg success is mine!!!
Thank you!

You tif is set to large. You reach the max number of files before you exceed the disk space allowed. Only exceeding the disk space kicks off the auto cleaner.
