jpeg attachments in Windows Mail

When I attach a jpeg as an attachment and leave the body of the email just
text I have typed, I then send the email. Somewhere between sending and then
receiving the system is taking the jpeg attachment opening it and inserting
it into the bodyu of the email. Why and how do I stop it?

You can't.

If you or your recipient are set to read all mail in plain text then it
would not be seen, except as an attachment.

Tools>options>read tab>select read all in plain text>apply/OK.

It's done at the receiving end, and is not something you as the sender
can control. It's up to the recipient's email program to decide whether
to display a .jpeg attachment or not. About the only way you could
prevent it is to compress (zip) the image file first.

Are you going to require all recipients to change their email programs
so they can read in plain text only?
