journal viewer?

After the last update, the microsoft journal viewer is popping up and
demanding that it install itself (demands the path to journal
viewer.msi). who stuck this thing onto my machine and why? It seems to
happen most often when I try to launch Adobe PDf reader 6.0...

Seems it showed up on the Windows Update site around the end of August. You
might try this link to finish the install, then uninstall it if you like.

No need to finish the install. Just uninstall.
