When I go to a webpage that contains Java applets I get a dialogue box with
the following message: "To display this page correctly, you need to
download and install the following components -- Java Virtual Machine." I
will click "download" and be redirected to
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/getosver/javaxp.asp with a message
saying "We're sorry. The page you are viewing requires that you have a more
recent version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine on your system. To obtain
an updated version of the Microsoft Virtual Machine, please go to Windows
Update." So I go to the windows update. No recommended updates show up and
when I search for anything in regard to the virtual machine I get no
pertinent suggestions. I've tried reinstalling windows explorer and
choosing default settings for security and internet options. I'm getting
nowhere fast. Has anyone experienced this problem? Can anyone offer any
suggestions?
Thank you,
Trent
