Java Settings?

In IE6, how to I ascertain that the Java JIT compiler is enabled and Java
logging is enabled? I can't find it anywhere in Internet Options.

Tools Internet Options Advanced Tab Scroll about half
way down to Microsoft VM and check the boxes.

Thanks ... I understand that's normally the case. But I SWEAR!
there's no Microsoft VM option anywhere in my IE's
Tools>Internet Options>Advanced .

It's puzzling. Any other thoughts?
