Java game applets served on IIS

I'm in the process of developing a website with some java games and other
applets like a chatroom. I have the site running on IIS5.1 on Windows XP
Professional. Some of my users have had trouble running the java applets as
the applet boxes remain gray and the status bar either just says done or
applet notinit. Does anyone know any tricks to get applets to download?
Putting them in jar files seems to help, but beyond that I have no clue what
to do.

I also have no idea how widespread this problem is. If you are feeling
especially nice you could drop by my site http://64.26.176.20 and test out
some applets and email me your results. You can use the email address on the
site; i'm the only person who has access to the emails.

They work fine for me. Some of your users probably need to install Java on
their computers. www.java.com
