I've Lost "Show Desktop" shortcut

Hello,

I've done so well for so long, but finally it happened...and I had to
reformat the hard drive.

Somehow in the past week, after getting things up and running...I've screwed
up and lost the "show desktop" shortcut. Actually, I have the shortcut, but
when I click on it I get the following message:

"The item 'Show Desktop.scf' that this shortcut refers to has been changed
or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to
delete this shortcut?"

Can anyone tell my how to either make this shortcut work again, or recreate
one that does work?

Best to delete what you have and start again.

Open Notepad and copy and past this into it:-

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Save it as plain text with the name:-

Show Desktop.scf

Save this file in this folder:-

C:\Documents and Settings\Your User Name\Application
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
