I've installed xp twice on one partition

I tried installing (upgrading) xp over the existing xp.
The setup got stuck at installing devices. I could not
get out of the setup and as I did not want to lose the
data on the hard drive I reinstalled to a folder called
windows1. I managed to resolve the problem with other
version. I've now got 2 windows xp on my c: partition.
How do I get rid of the unwanted one.
