It's gotta be in there somewhere.....

I took a digital photo that I wasn't very impressed with,
so I altered it through Ulead Photo Express 3.0SE. I
saved it under a different name to the original photo in
Windows' "My Photos", but it was at that time that the
Ulead started playing up, and it saved the altered version
under the original picture's name, and lost the original
version. It must still have a version of the original
though, as the thumbnail shows the original picture
although when the picture is opened it shows the altered
version. I was wondering if it would be possible to
somehow print the original version from the thumbnail. I
don't mind losing the altered version, as I have done a
print of that - could I sort of unattach the thumbnail
from the altered picture and print the thumbnail image? I
don't want a huge picture, just a small 2"x3" would do,
just to show the computer who's boss! Incidentally,
please don't ask me to go back to a restore point before I
altered the photo, as I deleted all but the most recent
point before I thought of doing that!

Indeed, it is in there somewhere.
To find it, click on Start and click on Search and then on Pictures. In the
opening window, click on Pictures again and in the textbox "All or part...."
type exactly this:
*.jpg
and then click on Search.
This will return all the photo files on your hard. Look at the thumbnails,
when you see the one you are looking for, place your mouse pointer over it
and a textbox will pop up giving you the location (folder) where the file is
located.
