Its doing it again. The mouse quits working in standard mode.

Previously I finally got it working by hitting F8 not F12
and then going down to last of the options and turning
off function that confirms the drivers.

It didn't work this time. Microsoft just added an
update to Vista. Can I turn that back? As that
maybe the problem.

Also I getting a message to load a DVD form
Solutioncenter as the startup is nearly complete.
Without a working mouse in standard it just
one more problem. Though when the mouse
works it is a little issue.

Your fundamental error was in utilizing Mucrosoft software in the
first, place,
quite understandable, I was guilty of it myself not long ago.

In 2005 I decided that I had had ENOUGH and kicked uncle bIll off my
desktop
once and for all. I installed debian linux and discovered that much
of what little native
windows software I needed to run, ran just fine (sometimes better) on
the Linux
"wine" windows emulator.
