IST bar

IST bar keeps trying to install and Microsoft Anti-Spyware
keeps removing it -- over and over again with no long
lasting results. Does anyone have any ideas how to get rid
of IST bar permanently? Thanks.

Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select
Scan and Save Log. Note where you saved the log then
send it to me as an attachment. Put Hijack in the subject
so I'll know it's not spam.

This may not be the right answer for what you're looking
for but I had that problem and when we reinstalled Windows
the problem went away. I'm not sure what's causing the
that IST Bar to appear and keep installing itself, but if
you can do it without it causing much trouble or too much
work (depends on whether you have your files backed up or
not), try reinstalling Windows, the threat itself will go
away, and you will have no more trouble with it (It's been
about 2 weeks since we last reinstalled Windows and that
program hasn't come back yet).
