ISO only 712 bytes?

It should be 2.52. I'm feeling really stupid here. I downloaded the ISO of
RC1 and the file size is 712 bytes. I deleted that file and downloaded it
again with the same result. Two weeks ago I downloaded the pre-release of
RC1, I couldn't find it anywhere on my drive, so I went through the whole 4hr
process again, and got 712 bytes. The file for Beta 2 is 3.12 G. What
ridiculous error am I making? I'm running Beta 2, on a new machine that
meets or exceeds all Vista requirements. I disabled all security for the
download.

What are you downloading with? If you are using something like Free
Download Manager, make sure you are downloading the Software and not the web
page. If you have WinRar, disable it.

Use Free Download Manager
Then download from your browser not that Akami
Im still looking for the akami one I download.

Here; I'll post it again for ya.
No need to disable Winrar whatsoever.
Good try; however,
I have winrar;and without disabling it;and not using that Akami junk;but a
free download manager.

Use your own dload manager; and use the link on the right side of the
page-where it says use your own browser/dload manager.
I've used free download manager many times-no problems.

Akami like rocks like. It kicks ass, takes names, and it's faster than the
Beta FTPs at times when all the mommy mommies "Wendy kin we have another

You don't need to use a download manager. I have downloaded RC1 many times
now just to see if I have problems and I never have. I used IE7 RC1 and
average 2 1/2 hours download time.

I get the same problem whan I run the download in Vista Beta 2.

I have to swich back to Windows XP to download correctly RC1.

I had the same exact thing happen, using the Akamai download manager. Very
strange. I'm downloading the iso directly w/ Firefox now and so far it looks
good.

Thanks all. I was using Akamai. Third time was a charm! I have the full
file now.

The only way I suceeded is with firefox as well. Download manager and IE
only downloaded the 700kb file (I tried many times). Seems like I had the
same problem with beta 2 or office 2007, can't remember which one.
